Tox Path Specialists, LLC (TPS)
TPS is a fully GLP compliant provider of preclinical neuropathology, neurohistology and immunohistochemistry support to companies and other institutions developing neuroactive pharmaceuticals, devices, and other therapies with emphasis on therapies being delivered directly to the central and peripheral nervous systems. Although primarily involved with studies involving the nervous system, TPS also provides general morphologic pathology support.

Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC)
AAALAC International is a private, nonprofit organization that promotes the humane treatment of animals in science through voluntary accreditation and assessment programs. When animals are used, AAALAC works with institutions and researchers to serve as a bridge between progress and animal well-being. This is done through AAALAC's voluntary accreditation process in which research programs demonstrate that they meet the minimum standards required by law, and are also going the extra step to achieve excellence in animal care and use.
American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS)
AALAS is a membership association of professionals employed around the world in academia, government, and private industry who are dedicated to the humane care and treatment of laboratory animals, as well as the quality research that leads to scientific gains that benefit people and animals.

NBR representatives attend a number of scientific meetings including, but not limited to, the Society of Toxicology and Academy of Surgical Research annual meetings. Methods for refinement of procedures are constantly being sought by review of the literature, attending scientific meetings and discussions with consultants and colleagues. Any pertinent information obtained will be incorporated into the procedures used at Northern Biomedical Research.

SOT is a professional and scholarly organization of scientists from academic institutions, government, and industry representing the great variety of scientists who practice toxicology in the US and abroad. SOT is committed to creating a safer and healthier world by advancing the science of toxicology.
Academy of Surgical Research (ASR)
ASR promotes the advancement of professional and academic standards, education and research in the arts and sciences of experimental surgery. The Academy interfaces with medical and scientific organizations, and governmental agencies in establishing and reviewing ethics, theories, practices and research pertaining to surgery and promotion of the results for clinical application.

AMP focuses on public outreach that builds understanding and appreciation for necessary and humane animal research.
Michigan Society for Medical Research (MISMR)
MISMR is a science educational organization dedicated to promote understanding of biomedical research and testing, including the appropriate use of animals.
